Survival and Dangers

Web Readers,
During our adventure we will be involved in real risky conditions when camping one example is "Ice Bears" of the Greenland coast and grizzlies of the Canadian east coast, among other dangerous creatures living in nature land/sea.

So among the many safety items that we will carry the most important items on the ship will be our 'double purpose' items such as our hand held flares & air horns. Just those two items can scare away even a bear that's ready to attack. Of course (bear) pepper spray and that's just luxury the Vikings never had.

-Sailing- Rob & Crew When you look at any sea maps surely you can see the odds of being blown off course? -or- is it by luck you hope to see the little island spotted in the vast ocean?, shouldn't you worry more about being lost?, No we will have a variety of hand held Globule positioning Devices on board-they will keep us on target within 1-Meter. Giving us True direction every time day or night. If you have Idea/Question about our Adventure I would love to hear it.,

For those who think that Robert will be undertaking a pleasure cruise to Key West please remember that the Sea heart Viking ship is a totally open craft with no means of protection for the sailors what so ever. The journey will take them from the save waters of the Ijselmeer in Holland to the great dangers of ice at Greenland and the unpredictable dangers of the big ocean.

Check up on this page for information about how Robert will be defending himself from the elements.

On a Hard Winters day say-10f or-22c,
What would you have? Gloves? A Down Coat/Snow Boots?-Or Maybe a Scarf? A Bikers Rain Coat??

In Greenland -10 is a Normal Day..Now try -40f-or-45c at night almost any time of the year "If your lucky". 'Now add a Driving wind at 40mph or wind 8+Then Rain with Wet/Hard Ice.. Then just for fun add 10-Foot swells or 30 meters of the sea? And No place to hide!..

Then ask yourself ;What would you Need? Do You Know? Just what should I do? -Have a Good Answer?- let me know and you could win a trip on the great Viking Ship!

Good Luck to you!
